The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum has invited northeast Ohio’s motorcycling community to attend an evening of discount admission, free motorcycle parking and electric motorcycle demo rides on Thursday.

The “Bike Night at the Crawford” takes place at the museum’s University Circle grounds 4-8 p.m. on Aug. 25 to promote the museum’s current motorcycle exhibit, “Open Road: The Lure of Motorcycling in Ohio.”
The exhibit features dozens of motorcycles, all of which have a connection to Ohio — such as belonging to a motorcycle collector from Ohio, having been designed by an Ohio company or having been raced by an Ohioan.
To encourage motorcyclists to check out the exhibit, there’s no charge for motorcycle parking and admission to the museum is $5. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Other motorcycle-oriented features of the event include the Crawford’s “1967 Puch in a Crate” artifact – which is usually kept in storage in the museum’s basement – being on display and demo rides on Cleveland-based LAND Moto electric motorcycles.

The Open Road exhibit is part of the Crawford’s “Year of the Motorcycle” initiative. It was preceded by “The Century of the American Motorcycle” – a traveling exhibit that was on loan from the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Ala.
The Open Road debuted in mid-April and runs through October.
The Crawford museum is part of the Cleveland History Center – which is operated by the Western Reserve Historical Society – and is located at 10825 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106.
