WARREN, Ohio — The National Packard Museum is proud to present “An Evening with Guy Shively” on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 7:00 pm. Come enjoy an evening with the renowned local artist and hear inspiring stories of Guy’s long distinguished career in the automotive art world while witnessing with your own eyes his steady hand as he demonstrates his talent on a brand-new BMW Motorcycle provided by BMW Motorcycles of Cleveland.
Admission to this informative and entertaining event is $10.00 at the door and includes museum access and light refreshments. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase for a chance to win a Guy Shively custom hand-lettered Bell motorcycle helmet donated by Motozilli.
A special exhibition of Guy’s motorcycle and automotive art is now on display at the museum and runs through May 20, 2023. Guy’s work is held in many private collections and museums, including the Butler Museum of American Art permanent collection, Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Guy earned a B.F.A. in Commercial Art from Youngstown State University in 1978. He is the proprietor of Guy’s Graphics, specializing in hand painted lettering, pinstriping, airbrush, and artwork. He has been decorating vehicles, ranging from motorcycles to semis, since 1975.
Guy has travelled to many top-quality restoration, street rod, and body shops in the northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania region pinstriping antique, classic, and special interest cars and trucks.
Over the years, vehicles on which Guy has worked have won awards at prestigious car shows, including Pebble Beach Concours d ’Elegance. Guy’s work can be seen in many privately owned car collections and public museums, including the Canton Classic Car Museum, Frick Museum in Pittsburgh, Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, and National Packard Museum in Warren, Ohio.
Guy taught airbrush at YSU from 1985-1992, was a faculty advisor at Youngstown’s Choffin Career Center in the commercial art department from 1981-2011 and spent a few years as an advisor at the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center.

The National Packard Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday 12:00pm to 5:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission is $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for seniors (65 and older), $5.00 for children (aged 7-12), and children under 7 are free. Cameras and flash photography are welcome.
