Despite the forecast calling for inclement weather, Youngstown Cycle & Speed pressed forward with plans for its third annual Hogs & Hot Rods Trunk or Treat charity event on Oct. 1.
Though show entries were down from the previous two years, shop owner Adam Pratt said the event raised more than $500 for Akron Children’s Hospital, which has a campus just north of the Youngstown Cycle & Speed shop in Boardman, Ohio.

The event featured live music by the band Dave Loy and the Ramrods, as well as food vendors Tortamo and Big Daddy B’s Kettle Corn and several local art vendors.
Several helmets were being raffled to raise funds for the Purple Cat Foundation.
Pratt said he plans to put on the fourth edition of the event in 2024.
