A favorite road of northeast Ohio motorcyclists reopened earlier this week. A section of Ohio State Route 164 between Salineville and Bergholz was opened to traffic on Wednesday after being closed in June for a slope stabilization project. The project originally had a completion date of Aug. 28.
Motorcyclists should use caution when riding SR 164 between its intersections with Monroeville-Irondale Rd. and Blossom Rd. NE, as construction equipment or personnel could still be active in the area.
Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 Public Information Officer Lauren Borell said in an email that the reopened section of SR 164 has been repaved and there are smooth transitions between the existing and new pavement at each end of the project area.
NEO Moto News personnel are set to ride the reopened section of SR 164 on Sunday.
